2011 Course Descriptions - The courses will include:
We are excited about this unique event being held for the first time in the Chicagoland area. We welcome all competitors - Police Motor Officers (including active and retired) as well as Civilian competitors. Refreshments will be available as well as fun and excitement for the whole family. More detailed information on the competition and safety seminar will be coming.
We are planning awards, vendors, multiple class divisions, demonstration rides - basically great family fun for all.
2011 Course Descriptions - The courses will include:
The course exercises will include:
- Main Event Courses - i) Expert Police / Civilian, ii) Civilian Intermediate, and iii) Civilian Novice
- Individual Slow-Ride - i) Expert Police / Civilian and ii) all other
- Exhibition Partner Ride -- Expert class only

The course exercises will be published the morning of the event. Furthermore, there will be over two days set aside for practicing the course exercises. This is similar to Harley Davidson's 100 anniversary competition in Milwaukee in 2008. This puts all competitors on a level playing field, specifically including small police departments as well as civilians who do not have the cones available to practice. Moreover, police motorcycle instructors will be available all day on the 6th to help any contestant (police or civilian) having difficulties with their line riding through an exercise.
For hints in types of exercises to practice for appropriate skills levels, email our general information line (see contact page).
However, the Expert division exercises will be similar to exercises posted on our sponsor's site - motorcops.com. Moreover, as stated on the Rules and Registration page, only civilians with advanced police motorcycle training should compete in the Expert Civilian Division. The same exercises will be ran in this division as ran by the Police Expert Division.
The Intermediate Division is targeted for Civilians with more than three (3) years riding as well as advanced civilian rider training. The Novice Division is targeted for Civilians who do not have advanced training - note that Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) Experienced Rider Course (ERC) is not considered advanced training at this level of competition.
The event's exercises are established first and foremost for:
- Challenging each contestant to improve their riding skills - this is all about improving safety and control.
- Secondly, this is also all about having fun where all donations go to a good cause - supporting and assisting families of Officers who were killed or catastrophically injured in the line of duty.
- Finally, this is about education for each contestant (irrespective their riding level) on being exposed to new techniques and ability to ride under pressure as well - specifically, the ability to deal with stress improves a rider's handling of a stressful situations on the road when its needed.
